IV Dripping

1- Introduction:
IV fluids are specially formulated liquids that are injected into a vein to prevent or treat dehydration. They are used in people of all ages who are sick, injured, or dehydrated from exercise or heat. It is also very useful for those with vitamin
deficiencies.

2- Pre and post:
A- Pre
• Get as hydrated as possible.
• Don’t come hungry.

B- Post:
• Press on the treated area for 2 minutes after removing iv.
• Keep the plaster in the cannulation site until the bleeding stops.
• Cold packs and elevating arm can be used for any bruising at the site, for
pain relief, and to decrease any swelling.
• Any swelling should be significantly reduced in 24 hours.
• A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare.

• Machine: No Machine Requited.
• Therapist: All GP (DR Mira and DR Muna).
Note:
When booking an IV appointment kindly pay attention to the following points:
1- To be able to set the appointment, we should make sure that the patient already purchased a package. Don’t proceed with the appointment reservation without payment.
2- Appointment must be scheduled at least 1 week ahead.

4- When the store replies back with the confirmation mail, we should contact the patient to confirm the appointment.
Important note: We can re-schedule the appointment date within 7 days as the supplement will expire after one week from the preparation date sent to the store.
